In support of these services, TIS collects information of a technical nature, usually articles, in the fields of Biotechnology, Biodiversity, Renewable Energy, Food Technology and Environment. We specialise in information from or about the
Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) region. This information is maintained as titles in our database which can be searched by using any one of the buttons above. The service is currently free of any charge and information is provided for the purposes of research or personal use only. The information that we maintain is selective, based on the expressed interests of our users.
TIS has been in operation since 1990, serving some 4,000 registered users worldwide by mail. This has enabled us to build up a unique collection of technical material, particularly concerning the ASEAN region, one of the fastest growing markets in the world. Funding for our establishment initially came from Australia, the EU, Canada and New Zealand and is currently provided by various agencies in Thailand, notably the
National Research Council of Thailand and the
Energy Policy and Planning Office.
In addition to our database, TIS also provides news, a calendar of current events and some very useful links through our association with other organisations in Thailand and internationally. TIS is also able to provide search and bibliographic services on request. Our mailing list is extensive and we are able to reach potential clients in both the public and private sectors of ASEAN.
